Mother’s Day Brunch 2026

On Sunday, May 10th, we gathered together before our 10 a.m. service for a special Mother’s Day brunch in the fellowship hall. Mother’s Day is always a meaningful time in the life of the church a moment to pause and honor the women who have nurtured, guided, and loved so faithfully. While the holiday itself has roots dating back over a century in the United States, its heart closely reflects the biblical call to “honor your father and mother” (Exodus 20:12), reminding us to cherish the role of family in God’s design.

This year’s gathering was especially sweet. Many from our church family came together, along with guests who traveled from different parts of the state to join us. The room was filled with warmth, conversation, and anticipation for the service ahead.

We enjoyed a lovely brunch of eggs, bacon, fresh croissants, coffee, and orange juice. As simple as it may sound, it created the perfect space for fellowship time to slow down, reconnect, and share in each other’s lives. Each mother was presented with a yellow rose, a small but meaningful expression of appreciation for the love and sacrifice they give so selflessly.

One of the most touching parts of the morning was seeing generations gathered together. Ms. Bex, founder of Atlas Alcor Alliance, a K–12 tutoring organization, attended and shared how special the occasion was for her, as she was able to celebrate alongside both her mother and her daughter. It was a beautiful reminder of the legacy of love that passes from one generation to the next.

As we came together in prayer, Pastor Joe lifted up the mothers, families, and all those present, asking for continued guidance, strength, and blessing. There was a deep sense of peace in the room, one that carried with us into the service that followed.

Moments like these remind us that the church is more than a place we attend, it is a family we belong to. We are grateful for the opportunity to gather, to pray, and to celebrate the gift of motherhood together.

We invite you to join us at Shekinah Christian Assembly of West Palm Beach. Our Sunday services begin at 11 a.m., and there is always a place for you here. Whether you are visiting for the first time or looking for a church home, we would love to welcome you into our community.
